E-Convergence Era and the future of Smart Card Card
Smart a plastic card with the chip. Large use of smart cards is in telecommunication networks as the SIM-card. Memory cards allows him to store telephone numbers, SMS, etc., which would enable portability of data from one phone to another.
What does SIM-cards in the mobile phone to do?
The SIM-card enables portable detection and the use of portable subscription data, as messages and address book from one phone to another phone. Today phones come with external memory, which serves as storage devices that are portable. These memory card supplied with a variable set of opportunities and makes all sides portable storage functions except Subscriber Identity. Today hand set has all the SIM built in it.
Do we need a SIM-card in the future or whether we need a customizable set of multi-hand with a memory card? It is time to think about where data is used and portability benefit smart card (SIM card).
Access control market was another market for smart cards. Little access control unit integrated biometric devices. Smart cards have Swipe ID which is connected to the personal and identification. This definition of tag used to track the person on the premises. Smart card is used as a person and brings convenience to trigger user access or attendance.
Does our smart cards have a memory? Do we use it to store data on it? Are we re-use of data or data portability implemented to reuse the data? Is the smart cards needed to E-Convergent era for access control? In most decisions, where there is convergence possible data can be stored on the database. The necessity of using the memory card is removed. Yes access control card works as smart cards for identification and access Mark attendance. Proxy is subjective to the user and company.
Access control authentication using biometric systems are solutions, worth considering. What does this do for you? Some systems offer data (biometric and digital ID) is stored in smart cards and used to test 1:1. Sure it supports the identification and verification technologies in isolated areas or in mobile computing, where the Internet is not available for the identification of his personality. Dual views with photo identification, hologram and Biometrics together to help provide security in reasonable solutions. In cases where the Internet is available, we need to use this system?
Who bears the cost of the system? Consumer or user? Where we use smart cards? What is the data to be portable to add value chain of information that recommends the use of smart cards?
Smart card is used when the data should be portable or data security required.
E-Convergent technology reduces the need for portability of data, as demand increases and availability of data across the network. The increase in the proliferation of telecommunications networks at the grassroots level and with Internet connection available; convergence near future.
Many cards currently rolled, as defined map with a specific OS for several different applications. You can search for smart cards for PAN Card, One for smart cards, driving license and more Is there a need for multi-application cards?
In my opinion, we need smart cards if available, portability and data security checks at 1: 1. Maps of the future digital identity with the International digital signature. The standard for such cards is yet to be determined on the global platform. That is the map that will define your identity as a people any application. All applications will take care of the person and checking authentications display data, registered as a base within the country. This will allow to bring the uniqueness of the system. This card will be smart card / RFID-card compatible with the unique ID on the multi-user environment and to maintain minimum details of verification of biometric data and / or digital Signature.
The banking companies, large companies already have deals their programmes aimed to take some of their company Postcards infrastructure. I firmly believe this migration and will recommend industry to work together on platforms, where the use of cards would eliminate fraud, single identity, reduction of consumer confusion because of the need to lower the number of processing cards, and use technology wisely. I think the issue since the end of each user.
Do we should use technology wisely and rationally in this E-convergent era!
